Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s latest stunt outside the Supreme Court shows that she is Washignton, D.C.’s worst drama queen

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez seems to crave attention.

The New York socialist is always engaged in overdramatic tweets and photo-ops.

And AOC’s latest stunt outside the Supreme Court shows that she is Washington, D.C.’s worst drama queen.

Members of Congress “arrested”

AOC along with 16 other Democrats were temporarily detained recently for blocking traffic during a protest outside of the Supreme Court.

The Fake News Media played it up as an arrest.

But of course, as Members of Congress, what really happened is that they were escorted away from the scene and given citations.

That didn’t stop AOC from engaging in her typical dramatic antics.

While being escorted by a Capitol Police Officer, AOC placed her hands behind her back to appear as though she was handcuffed, while photos show that she clearly was not.

AOC was widely and rightfully mocked for this dramatic performance.

The satirical website Babylon Bee ran pieces that she was placed in an “invisible police car” and that she was still handcuffed because the police are trying to find the “invisible key.”

Conservative media also drew comparisons to AOC and Jussie Smollett, the actor who staged a fake attack on himself to try to paint Trump supporters as violent and racist.

A fellow Congresswoman calls her out

Congresswoman Nancy Mace Tweeted about the incident, stating that politics has become “performative art.”

AOC responded, saying “No faking here. Putting your hands behind your back is a best practice while detained, handcuffed or not, to avoid escalating charges like resisting arrest.”

Of course, what makes AOC’s claim here not very believable is that she also raised her fist while being escorted.

Wouldn’t that be something that could be construed as “resisting arrest” according to AOC’s own claim here?

Not only that, but AOC has a history of just this sort of performative acting.

Congresswoman Mace had previously called out AOC for exaggerating her experience during the January 6th riots.

AOC claims that she hid in the bathroom and feared that protestors were going to rape and kill her.

The problem with her claim is that she was in the building across the street from the capital, and no protesters even entered that building.

Mace Tweeted “I’m two doors down from @aoc and no insurrectionists stormed our hallway.”

Another example of AOC’s dramatics was when she staged a photo op of herself pretending to cry outside the fence of a migrant detention center with no migrants in sight.

She also paraded around the Met Gala with Hollywood elites while wearing a dress with the words “Tax the Rich.”

Apparently, the irony of wearing this dress while she is attending a $50,000 per person event was lost on her.

AOC is an attention seeker, which makes it almost a metaphysical certainty that when she placed her hands behind her back, that it was done for dramatic effect.
