Kamala Harris is trying to claim she’s the candidate of law and order in the race.
But she’s not telling voters the full story about who she is.
And a police officer demanded Kamala Harris apologize for committing this awful betrayal.
Kamala Harris smeared the police for decades
Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign is portraying her as a tough prosecutor who threw crooks in jail from her time as San Francisco District Attorney and California Attorney General.
She’s leaning into the prosecutor image to distance herself from her actual far-left record she accumulated over the years.
But Kamala has long made her disdain for the police known.
She compared policing to Jim Crow during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on “Police Use of Force and Community Relations” weeks after George Floyd’s death in June 2020.
“When we say that America has a history of systemic racism, we mean that from slavery, Jim Crow laws, lynchings, and policing, our institutions have done violence to black Americans,” Kamala ranted.
The police are in the same category of evil to Kamala as slavery and lynching.
“And it has caused black Americans to be treated as less than human across time, place, and institution,” Kamala scolded.
Kamala spent 2020 supporting the “Defund the Police” movement and trashing the brave men and women of law enforcement.
“For too long the status quo thinking is that you get more safety by putting more cops in the street, well that’s wrong,” Kamala said in an interview on the Ebro in the Morning in June 2020.
Police groups want an apology for Kamala’s smear campaign
National Association of Police Organizations president Michael McHale demanded that Kamala apologize for comparing the police to Jim Crow.
“Kamala Harris has shown once again that she simply has no actual knowledge of what modern American police officers do, and worse, doesn’t seem to even care for the men and women who put their life on the line to protect American communities,” McHale said.
“We call on her to retract and apologize for her comments equating policing to lynching and slavery. She has yet to explain her support for defunding the police and even worse, her support for the so-called ‘Minnesota Freedom Fund’ that put persons arrested for violent crimes back on the streets as Minneapolis burned during the George Floyd riots,” McHale added.
Kamala asked her millions of followers on social media to donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which paid the bail of violent criminals to put them back on the streets.
Some of the criminals released by the Fund went on to commit murder and other violent crimes.
Tulare County, California Sheriff Mike Boudreaux called out Kamala for trying to pretend that she’s a friend of law enforcement in her campaign ads.
He and some of his officers were standing behind Kamala from her time as California Attorney General in a picture used in the ad.
“When you have law enforcement standing behind you like that, you have a perception that we are supporting you,” Boudreaux said. “In fact, we have worked with Kamala Harris here in California when she was a prosecutor, when she was the attorney general, our senator, and there’s been no support for law enforcement.”
Kamala Harris is hoping she can fool the public with a phony election-year rebrand.
