America is facing a crisis at the border, the likes of which have not been seen in recent memory.
Every single day thousands of illegal aliens flood across the border with no end in sight.
Now, even a former Obama official is calling out Joe Biden’s failed immigration policies.
The crisis at the southern border is getting more media attention – much to Biden’s dismay
For the last couple of years, Democrats have downplayed the border crisis as a “Republican talking point.”
This could not be any less true, but fortunately, some Democrats are waking up to the fact that the border is a complete and total mess.
One such liberal is John Sandweg, who served as acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the Obama administration.
On CNN’s At This Hour, Sandweg said that “Well, the underlying source of all of these problems is we’ve never adequately funded our asylum system to handle the claims.”
He then went on to say, “But under longstanding U.S. law, if you enter the United States, even illegally, and get two feet on American soil and you make a credible claim to asylum, you cannot be deported or removed unless and until an immigration judge determines your claim is not credible or doesn’t meet the standard for asylum.”
In a nutshell, Sandweg is saying that America’s asylum system is completely overwhelmed, and is being taken advantage of by people who are coming to America as economic migrants, who are not typically eligible for asylum.
This is all happening under Joe Biden’s watch, yet he does not seem to care.
If anything, Joe Biden is doing everything in his power to facilitate this chaos that has created this crisis at the border.
Joe Biden is in over his head when it comes to the border, and just about everything else for that matter.
Major changes must happen quickly in order to avoid a full-on meltdown at the border
America needs to change its border policies as soon as humanly possible, or else the border crisis will get even worse.
Physically securing the border is an important first step.
Every day countless amounts of drugs, weapons, and humans are trafficked across the Mexican border into the United States.
Next, America must get this asylum mess sorted out.
People should not be allowed to walk right into the United States and automatically get asylum for no good reason.
For too long, Joe Biden and his Democrat cohorts have allowed this crisis at the Mexican border to fester, and soon it may get way too out of control.
President Donald Trump was right to place such a high priority on the southern border and securing the border.
Democrats are ignoring this issue for entirely political reasons, as they do not want to admit that Trump was right about anything.
This is an outrage, and Americans from both sides of the political aisle must demand change, or else the current border crisis will only continue to get worse.
